I looked up both words afterwards (because I figured doing it before giving my answer was cheating) and decided at that point that I should have chosen "innocuous." I think it's just a case of being a mite confused by two words that aren't in daily usage. So, yes, you were correct and I made the wrong guess... but now I'm better educated! 😎.
